How we started
RevLocal was born in the heart of Greenville, inspired by a simple yet powerful realization: many of our neighbors were struggling to access state and federal benefits they were entitled to, like SNAP and Healthy Connections. Our founders, passionate about community service, started to investigate the barriers that kept eligible families from enrolling in these programs. They discovered that transportation was often the biggest hurdle, preventing people from attending appointments or filling out necessary forms.
This insight led to the innovative idea of a vehicle donation program to fund a dedicated benefits-research service. By donating cars that may no longer be needed, residents could help their less fortunate neighbors navigate the complicated world of benefits enrollment. This model allows us to directly connect the resources of our community to those in need, ensuring that every resident can thrive.
Our mission
At RevLocal, our mission is to bridge the gap between Greenville residents and the essential benefits programs that support their well-being. We strive to connect our neighbors to vital resources such as Family Independence, WIC, LIHEAP, and others, ensuring that everyone has access to the assistance they deserve. By empowering our community through education and advocacy, we aim to foster a healthier, more informed Greenville for all.

Why this city
Greenville is a vibrant community with a rich tapestry of neighborhoods, from the historic West End to the bustling suburbs of Five Forks. However, we recognize significant enrollment gaps, particularly among low-income families and minorities, who may not be aware of available benefits. Our diverse demographic includes many individuals who qualify for programs like SNAP and LIHEAP but face barriers to access. By focusing our efforts in this city, we aim to uplift our residents and ensure they have the support they need to thrive.
Join us in making a difference in Greenville today! Consider donating your vehicle to support our mission or explore our benefits-finder service to see what resources are available to you.
